Anonymous asked: Not really a ship pairing, more of a bro pairing. Sam Winchester and Stiles Stilinski. College AU. Good luck! :)
“Can I help you?” said Stiles as he looked up from his copy of Folktales and Mythology of Nothern Europe.
“Uh,” and wow, Stiles was pretty tall himself but this guy was huge; he looked painfully out of place in the quiet halls of the library. “I was just- I was looking for that book.”
Stiles eyed the guy up and down before giving him a smile, “Maybe we can share?”

Anonymous asked: hmmm its a fantastic movie. I mean its not as good as Dolan's previous movies (I killed my mother and les amours imaginaires) imo, but it's really poetic and beautiful and the plot is really interesting. You should definitely see them if you have the time. if nothing else they're visually stunning and that's worth the time.
alrighty then :)

Anonymous asked: your answers are very interesting. Do you know what existence is? You're alive, because in your nature there is the chance that you could not be alive. That's why being alive means something. You "exist" because there was a point in time when you didn't exist. Does God exist? Let's put it this way, (putting religious beliefs aside) God is eternal. So he has always been here. God has never not existed, so does he "exist" really?
Thank you :) your questions are very interesting
God was something I almost mentioned in the last ask actually. Again, it’s a very abstract concept, it’s not tangible, you can’t see him, those who believe can claim to feel him in everyday life, but that’s a very personal and relative notion.
I think when it comes to the abstract concept of a higher power it has to do with belief, God exists cause people believe in him, but if no one believed in God, does he exist?
I am personally not a very religious or faithful person, but if there’s an unknown God or a higher being or a higher power with influence over us all out there, no one knows about the, so no one believes in them, so, to us, they don’t exist.

Anonymous asked: Okay, two questions, you decide which one you prefer to answer. 1) TW Season 3 won't be as good as S02 a/d??. 2) The place where out atoms touch the air atoms is just a difference in type of atoms, nothing really tells us that we end there. We are not necessarily only our bodies, there is really not an cutting edge, just atoms sticked together. Therefore I am you, and everyone else. Am I only what I can control? Reason tells us we only are what we can control. Is Reason, then, a barrier?
wow, okay omg
You’re not me, I am not you, nor are we everyone else, but we’re made of the same substance so, essentially, we’re the same. We’re not only what we can control, we’re everything we come in contact with, even in the smallest ways cause even then, we influence them somehow. And yes, I think reason is definitely a barrier.

november-whispers asked: your reply interested me in this greatly :) i agree with what you said tho many things cannot be turned to a yes or no situation its hard to find the line between black and white without falling into a grey area, i guess it depends on the individual
heeey, thank you :)
it’s very difficult, when you’re given a complex situation like that you can’t just say you agree or disagree cause then i’d be bound to the interpretation the asker chooses to give to my answer, disagreeing could mean very different things for us both, and for those who read the post. If there’s one thing I don’t like is not making myself clear when someone asks me my opinion, I like to explain what I think very clearly so it’s not taken in a way i didn’t mean for it to be taken
people were supposed to ask me things like ‘pie is gr8’ tho

Anonymous asked: Okay then, another question. Let's propose an infinite timeline with all the history of planet earth. we, as humans represent, let's say 1% of history. You represent 0.000001% of history. Now assuming time is infinite we expand that timeline, until your existence is 0.00000000000000000001% of history. Now, expand it infinitely more, and your existence is infinitely 0, virtually 0%, and mine too. Therefore, logically, there will be a point in time where we will literally have never existed.
Jesus, guys I can only answer Agree/disagree you were supposed to ask me easy-to-answer questions omg
Disagree.
Existence is a very abstract concept, too. Let me explain with another example: If a ship sinks in the middle of the ocean, near an island unknown to men, a man and a woman survive, but no one realises that, no one looks for them and they’re declared dead. They live on, and they have kids, who latter grow up. Do those people exist? No one knows of their existence, no one knows they’re there, no one knows they’re alive, they never had contact with other people, they’re in no one’s conscience, so they don’t exist. Except they do.
Nothing and no one can take existence from us, we do exist, in your very-distant-future care scenario, we did exist. Whether there are sentient beings left who are aware of it or not it’s another matter altogether.
#anonymous #asks #getting a lil existencial aren't we #i love these questions tho :) #where are all of you when i reblog one of those 'ask me my opinion on shit' thingies
Anonymous asked: thought you could only answer Agree/Disagree? BTW Im a different anon, but I found the question rlly interesting!! i mean yeah I suppose discrimination is not always bad. But when isn't it? I mean at some point we MUST understand that they are different, and should be treated differently. and thats discriminatory.
There were too many statements in that asks to narrow it down to an Agree/Disagree, according to my own beliefs, the first statement was correct, but I didn’t wholly agree with the example they were applying it to.
Now, being COMPLETELY logical, it’s true, giving your seat to others is still discrimination, but I believe no abstract concept like that can be applied to absolutely everything, every situation or every relationship.
No discrimination could mean very bad things, could mean no lower taxes for those who earn very little money (by honest working), no scholarships for students who are very smart and promising but can’t afford an education, no facilities for people with handicap/genetic diseases/mental impairment, you get what I mean?
I’m against negative discrimation, I think in the giving-my-seat case one would be applying a positive kind of discrimination because by doing so I’m doing good to others, as long as they choose to take it instead of me imposing it and they don’t feel offended by it.
Where do you draw that line though? I think that’s the problem, I can only set the limit for myself, and even then I’m not prepared for every given situation, I’ll know how I feel about it when I’m exposed to it.
If I see and old man with a cane, struggling to walk getting in the bus I will give him my seat. One thing is having a no-discrimination policy, and then there’s being a downright asshole.

Anonymous asked: Morally speaking we shouldn't be sexists or discriminatory. The act of discrimination is distinguishing treatment of people based on how you perceive them. So giving your seat to old/handicapped people or women is, essentially, an act of discrimination. From that logical point of view, Giving your seat to others is wrong.
I agree that we shouldn’t be sexist or discriminatory.
But I don’t believe giving my seat to others has anything to do with discrimination, I give my seat to other on the bus, it’s something I choose to do and I see it as an act of kindness, instead of a statement of “we’re not equals ergo I do this”
I personally believe there’s a positive kind of discrimination, too.

Anonymous asked: What is a must do or must see or must eat thing for one visiting Chile?
Oh man, there’s a lot. Since it’s such a long country it has like, all types of landscapes and views.
Up north, in the Atacama desert you might find interesting the geisers and salt flats (you gotta be careful about the time you visit those tho, it only looks like an endless mirror during the rain season), and if you feel like spending a little bit more money, you could pay for a tour to the desert during the night, I think Atacama is considered one of the best places for star gazing, the sky is really clear. A lot of those pretty pictures of the milky way you’ve seen on the internet were most likely taken there.
Santiago, the capital, it’s a city alright but in my opinion there’s not really much to see there, cities aren’t pretty here, the country side is, but I find Santiago particularly unpleasant, people aren’t nice and the air is kind of nasty because of the smog. Valparaíso is a nice, picturesque near city, though :)
Now, middle-south Chile is were things get pretty :) there are a lot fo national parks worth visiting, such as Conguillio, Huerquehue, Tolhuaca, Nahuelbuta, and I’ll just stop there for there are many, but do google them, you’ll fall in love with the landscape, I hope :) Also, lots of vulcans, pretty
Even more to the south, you can visit island Chiloe, which also has beautiful views and it’s very nice and different cause it’s aplace that has managed to keep their traditions from a long time ago. Like Mingas, for example, when someone wants to move, they throw their whole house into the water, where a boat proceeds to carry it away to it’s new placement, look it up too, it’s awesome :)
And I’m getting A LOT carried away, but this is the last one, I promise, a totally must see:
Torres del Paine, and I’m just gonna add a picture cause that’s just the most beautiful place on earth I’ve had the luck of visiting

I hope I didn’t bore you too much, and if you do come, enjoy your stay :)!
Must eat: Humitas and Pastel de Choclo (if you like corn), Empanadas de Horno, Mariscal (if you like seafood, fish is really good too), Tomatican also, maybe. And drink lots of wine and Pisco (make sure to have a Piscosour)
#anonymous #asks #also if you're coming to latinamerica #machu pichu in peru is a TOTALLY MUST SEE too! #that place is beautiful #and maybe Salar de Uyuni in bolivia :)
